Author Instructions for submitting manuscripts to IEEE Transactions on Magnetics

Manuscripts will be evaluated according to the same high standards as would be applied to any article published in the journal. Authors are encouraged to read carefully and comply with the Instructions for Authors on the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics Journal website. Accepted manuscripts are subjected for publication as a special issue of the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics Journal in June, 2018.

Authors are required to use “Trans_Magnetics_Template” with detailed instructions on the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics required manuscript format for preparing their manuscripts. The electronic copy of a published IEEE Transactions on Magnetics journal article (IEEE Trans Magn 2017-published article) is also provided for reference.

An IEEE style guide, "Information for Authors," may be found at:

https://www.ieee.org/documents/info_authors_kit.pdf.

Authors are required to sign an IEEE Copyright Form before publication. This form appears at:

http://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/rights/copyrightmain.html.

Manuscript length is limited to 4 journal pages for a contributed paper and to 6 journal pages for an invited paper. Typical supplementary information is the number of 4 pages allowed for contributed and invited papers, the manuscript receipt date authors should include in the footnote on the first page of their papers, deadlines, etc. Authors should not submit a paper if they have already submitted (or plan to submit) a similar paper elsewhere. All conference manuscripts must be submitted for review and final submission online, through the Transactions on Magnetics – Conferences site, Scholar One Manuscripts (formerly known as Manuscript Central). Scholar One Manuscripts may be accessed at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/magconf-ieee.

When submitting manuscript via the IEEE journal website, authors should select “ISAMMA2017” from the list. Authors also need to provide their accepted abstract number (i.e., SMD-I11) that exactly matches the one in their cover letter (see a cover letter template).

A publication charge is US$150 for a manuscript accepted for publication in the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics journal. There is no charge for color figures for the electronic version of a paper. However, for color figures in the print version, paper authors are charged approximately US$1050 per article plus US$125 for each color figure and are billed directly by IEEE. When authors send the final version of their paper, they should indicate very clearly if they want color in the print version. In the absence of such instructions, color will be used only for the electronic version. Please be certain that the black-and-white print version is understandable without the color information. Authors who wish to order reprints are referred to http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/reprints/index.html.

All manuscripts must be written in proper English and are therefore requested to be proof read by a professional English editing service. For rapid screening of manuscript quality prior to English editing or submission, authors are strongly recommended to consult their manuscript with the Editor-in-Chief of the special issue, Dr. Manh-HuongPhan, via email: phanm@usf.edu. An editing service charge is 50 USD for a research article (up to 4 journal pages) and 80 USD for a review article (up to 6 journal pages). The payment can be made directly to the conference bank account.
