The star of this restaurant’s menu is undoubtedly the herring salad, or “goi ca trich”. The fresh herring is tossed with lemon juice, chopped chillies, sliced onion, shredded coconut and vegetables, then rolled in thick rice paper and then dipped in an anchovy fish sauce and served with salad. A relaxed venue with rustic furnishings, Vuon Tao is a great choice for a light bite or quick snack between bouts of lounging in the balmy Phu Quoc sun.
